Q: what is the MPG of a 2001 Jeep Wrangler Sahara Edition?
I'm looking at buying one and wanted to know what the mpg was. The actual mpg not the "what hope the mpg will be"

A: MPG on a 2001 Jeep Wrangler is 63 miles.

Q: where can I find an online owners manual for a 2003 jeep wrangler sahara?

A: Here's an online 04 manual which should be near (if not) identical... http://www.scribd.com/doc/2626975/Jeep-TJ-2004-Wrangler-Owners-Manual

Q: 2000 Jeep Wrangler Sahara, Low Oil Pressure when Idleing?
When I come to a stop the pressure drops and the "check guages" lights comes on, when I start to drive it goes right back up. I was thinking it was the oil pump. Thanks

A: id try the sending unit first, its very possible it is the oil pump though because some of those would get a build up of sludge in the oil pan,and that too would cause this to happen,i have pulled a lot of oil pans off and cleaned them out.other than that those were really good vehicles to own,the cheapest thing to do is the sending unit,if your working on it your self,a lot of times that has caused this to happen, good luck with it.

Q: How can I increase my horsepower of my 07' Jeep Wrangler Unlimited Sahara ?
I want to increase my Wranglers hp. It has about 205 right now, but i want it to go up. Any cheap ways to do this ? not too cheap, but i dont want to be spending a huge amount of money. any ideas ?

A: There are performance chips that will add some power to the engine, and sometimes it adds some fuel efficiency. yahoo search bully dog or gale banks, these companies are mostly know for diesel performance, but also make gasoline performance packages. Of course, the requisite add ons, such as more efficient air cleaners, yahoo search "K and N air filters", and you can open up the exhaust, by getting a free-flow muffler and exhaust or 'cat back' system. These are all proven performance enhancers, and they should not void your factory warranty. You can do one thing at a time, and see if there is noticeable improvement-that is the fun of it. good luck

Q: 97 jeep wrangler sahara?
so i got a green jeep wrangler sahara with a tan soft top. i'm a huge fan of jeeps and i own quite a few, but something keeps happening to my 97 sahara. the steering is messed up i'v had alignments and everything checked up, no not the wind blowing me around. anyone have this problem?

A: Could it be the dreaded death wobble? What size tires do you have? Is the jeep lifted? You may want to try a steering stabilizer. Check with www.quadratech.com.

Q: Jeep Wrangler (Sahara vs X & Hard Top vs Soft)?
I am currenty in the market for Jeep Wranglers and am trying to figure out some differences. I wanted to know what the difference between the Sahara and the regular Wrangler i guess you could say. Second, I live in Florida where it gets pretty hot so i am trying to decide if a hard top or soft top is the way to go. if anyone needs more information please do not hessitate to ask! Thanks

A: The regular Wrangler (SE) has a 4 cyl, Sports have the 6 cyl, Sahara's are the same as the Sport but with interior upgrades (better stereo system, etc), Rubicons are another offshoot of the Sport but have the off road upgrades (Dana 44 rear, electric locker, larger tires and a few other things I can't remember). If you are going to only have one top I would go with the soft top, especially in Florida. The hard top is harder to get on and off, you need at least 3 people to do it and you have to have a place to store it. Soft tops are easier to deal with. I have an aftermarket one and I can get it up and down by myself withing 5 minutes. I personally have both tops. I love my hard top for the winter (I live in Wisconsin) but once it gets warm it comes off and I couldn't imagine having to drive around in summer weather with the hard top on!

Q: were can i find seat covers that match my 99 jeep wrangler Sahara seats?

A: quadratec.com and 4wheeldrivehardware.com both have them

Q: 2007 Jeep Wrangler Sahara (2 dr) colors?
Does the 2007 Jeep Wrangler Sahara 2 door come in this combination? Black paint, black top, with beige/tan interior??? I tried to build my own online and it wouldn't let me choose this combination. Does is come manufactured in this color or can i get it custom done or something (within the dealership)??

A: You are correct. Officially with the Sahara, only Rescue Green comes with a black top and a tan interior. That said, the dealerships have a bit of leeway in this, and if you are ready to either buy a Jeep or walk out the door, they'll make it happen. Since the tops are removable, they are easily swapped at the dealership. Look for a Black Sahara with a tan interior and all the options you like. It will have the tan top, but you can tell them you are ready to buy if they can swap tops. They will resist, because they don't like to do extra work. But stand your ground and tell them that's the perfect Jeep, too bad the top isn't the right color, too bad the green Jeep sitting right next to it has the right color top, too bad it's so easy to swap them, and too bad you're walking out the door now. They will make it happen rather than loose the sale. And if they won't do it, try another dealership. Eventually you'll find a dealership willing to make the swap to earn your business. I know this is true. When I was shopping for my 05 Rubicon, I found one in bright orange with a tan top. Somebody wanted a black top, so they put the tan top on an orange Jeep - it was quite an ugly combination, but somebody out there got the black top they wanted.

Q: Bolt pattern for 2000 Jeep Wrangler Sahara...?
I am looking to buy bigger wheels/rims than the stocked ones on my 2000 Jeep Wrangler Sahara to accommodate 33x12.50x15 mud tires. The wheels/rims will be 15x10. I need to know what the bolt pattern is so that I can buy wheels/rims to fit my Jeep. Any help is appreciated! Thanks.

A: don't do it you jeep will suck gas and become weak do to weight of tires, size of tires and improper gear ratio. but if you must it is 5 on 4.5 meaning 5 bolt holes 4.5 inch

Q: Question about Jeep Wrangler Sahara 4 door...?
Does anyone own this Jeep? I am looking at buying an '07 within the next couple of days. I want the 4 door model Jeep Sahara but I am torn between the soft top and hard top. Can anyone give me the pros and cons of both? My sister owned a soft top vehicle moons ago (not a Jeep) and told me to NEVER buy ANY car that has a soft top. At least that was according to HER experience. Realistically speaking, the Jeep (MORE than likely) will NOT be used for off-roading. I've always loved the Jeep and their ruggedness. It will be more of a vehicle to take to the lake, river, tow our SeaDoos and for everyday driving. My husband wants the hard top but the sales woman INSISTS on the soft top. Any advice from Jeep owners? I need help ASAP! I forgot to add that the sales woman keeps saying "Remember, the hardtop is fiberglass so it will scratch easily and shatter". What the F? Is she trying to sell me a car or SCARE me?

A: The sales woman's insistance on a soft top is likely due to an overstock of soft-top Wranglers, and/or a shortage of hard tops. Her goal is to sell a Wrangler, end of story. Since you are the one who will be driving this vehicle for (hopefully) the next decade or so, it's really up to you as to what your preference is. If she is pushing the soft top too hard, find a different sales rep or a different dealership. Always remember, you're the one with the checkbook, so you're the one in charge. Regarding fiberglass hard tops shattering, that is total bunk. I've seen fiberglass hard tops on late-70's vintage CJ's that might be sun-faded, but structurally are every bit as sound as when new. So the question is, which do you prefer. The pros of a hard top are (1) quieter at highway speeds, (2) rear washer/wiper/defroster. The pros of the soft top are self-evident: driving with the wind in your hair and seeing the stars on a warm summer night. Regarding the noise, I recommend you test drive both at highway speeds, have a conversation, and see if the noise in the soft top is tolerable. I don't mind it at all, some folks need their ride to be Lexus-quiet. I also recommend you try folding down a soft top at the dealership. It's not like a Miata (i.e., no simple pushbutton). I can raise and lower mine in about 10 minutes, after a lot of practice. When I was new at it, about 20 minutes. Finally, ask yourself if you're likely to enjoy having the top down, or would you be concerned about messy hair and dust inside the Jeep. Some folks can't stand the "penalties" of putting the top down, so they never do. Regarding the durability, I had a soft top on my first Jeep (98 Wrangler) for 9 years. I had to repair some stitching on two zippers, otherwise it held up well. They are very well made. The windows are susceptable to scratching, and if not babied they will become clouded and opaque in a few years. If this happens, you can replace just the windows for about $200 - $300. In other words, yes the soft top will require some maintenance and/or replacement down the road, but that is a far way off. The hard top will last as long as the Jeep. Another option I'll mention is "dual tops". Then you get both. This requires (1) you live in a place where you can store a hard top during the summer, (2) you and/or your husband have people you can count on to help remove the top, or you have enough of a garage that you can install a hoist. I have dual tops and I love it - all the benefits of a hard top during the winter, all the open-air freedom of a convertable during the summer. Good luck, and I hope your new Wrangler brings you as much joy as mine have over the years!

Q: Jeep Wrangler Sahara Unlimited Questions...?
I am 34, have 3 young kids and currently drive an '05 Infiniti FX35. My lease on my FX is up in about 6 months and I am looking to knock a few dollars off my monthly lease payment so I can contribute the difference to the college funds. My question is this...... is a 34 year old buying a Jeep Wrangler Unlimited (4 Door) Sahara the same thing as a 50 year old buying a Corvette? I don't want it to look like I am starting my mid-life crisis early...... Thoughts?

A: Nothing wrong with them have a 08 Jeep Sahara Unlimited with wife and 2 kids (3 & 6). If you need all the common creature comforts like heated seats, power mirrors, leather seats, steering wheel controls for radio and a fast SUV.....look elsewhere. Also, if you are looking for fuel miser SUV look elsewhere.....as they have aerodynamics of a brick. With a 6speed 4x4 with 3:73 rear I have been avg. 19mpg city and 23mpg Highway. Not bad as other people I have been hearing getting 15 City and 18 to 19 Highway. This little SUV is all about having fun with the family....you can take the top off, go wheeling where most SUV's & Truck's can't even think about going! The Jeep can be accessorized so much to make it a great expedition vehicle for the family for some great offroad adventures! My wife just loves driving the Jeep around and they have the most room of any small SUV. we looked at Honda CR-V, Toyota RAV-4, Mitsu Outlander, Nissan Murano, etc......Jeep was by far the funniest to drive, the offroad capabilities of this Jeep are incredible and it's the only 4 door convertible on the market! The fun you will have with your kids and wife off-roading and exploring is endless..... The Jeep fit our budget has & lifetime powertrain warranty and endless fun with the family. I get lots of thumbs up when I do drive it around and the kids enjoy driving in it on longer trips, adventuring in the outdoors and on ski trips.
